It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Brian Thomas Weems, 54, of Hiwassee, Va. as a result of a tragic ATV accident on July 1, 2026. Brian was originally from Rhoadesville, Va in Orange County where he was born (April 26, 1972) and raised on a  family dairy farm. He grew up working alongside his father and grandfather where he gained the knowledge and skills to operate and fix anything with wheels.

He spent his adult years working as an operator and mechanic on the farm and also spent time as an operator for Hazel Construction Company. Brian was the son of Robert and Lena Weems, and was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his partner, Mary, his family, as well as countless friends who were drawn to his vibrant spirit. Throughout his life, Brian lived fully, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression wherever he went. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. " I love you." K
