In Loving Memory of Catina "Tina" Latrice Winston
April 8, 1984 – May 27, 2025

With hearts heavy in grief yet overflowing with love, we celebrate the radiant life of Catina "Tina" Latrice Winston, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the age of 41, in Richmond, Virginia. Born on April 8, 1984, in Richmond, Tina was a beautiful light in the world—a soul marked by warmth, grace, and unwavering faith.

From the earliest chapters of her life, Tina walked closely with God. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at First Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Dawn, Virginia, where she faithfully served on the Youth Usher Board and sang joyfully in the Youth Choir. Her faith was not just a belief, but a living, breathing part of who she was—a quiet strength that carried her and those around her through life's seasons.

A proud graduate of Caroline High School's Class of 2002 and an alumna of J. Sargent Reynolds Community College, Tina brought joy, resilience, and compassion into every room she entered. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit indomitable, and her capacity to love—boundless.

Professionally, Tina was called to nurture, inspire, and uplift the youngest among us. With tender patience and a heart made for caregiving, she worked as a devoted child care worker at Pooh Corner Child Care Center and, more recently, at Toddler University. There, she poured her love into every child she cared for—offering guidance, gentleness, joy, and unconditional affection.

Above all else, Tina was a devoted mother. Her beloved son, Hayes Winston, was her pride, purpose, and life's joy. Their bond was deep and unbreakable—a love that transcends even death. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Gloria Winston; her father, Elmore Harris Jr.; and her cherished aunt, Cathy Harris, whom she lovingly called "Mama" from the tender age of three.

Tina's spirit lives in the hearts of her sisters Latonya Winston, Renee Winston, Simona Harris, and Dr. Matasha Harris; her brothers, Dennis (Darlene) Harris and Orlando Anderson. Tina was more than family to Nichole and Ray Robinson—she was like a daughter. Through them, she gained and now leaves behind additional siblings who mourn her deeply: Tiaja Samuel, Elon (Shaneice) Harris, and Nikia Robinson.

She is also lovingly remembered by her aunt, Eveline Terrell; uncles, Deacon Eugene Harris, David Winston, and Tyrone Winston; and great-uncle, Deacon Curtis Harris Sr. Among her many beloved nieces and nephews, she shared an especially close relationship with her devoted niece, Mya Harris, and her nephew, Quavion Harris, who adored her and were deeply impacted by her loving presence in their lives.

Tina also shared a respectful and committed co-parenting relationship with Hayes Winston, unified in their devotion to their precious son. Her memory will continue to shine brightly through a wide circle of cousins, extended family, and treasured friends who carry her love with them.

Creative and full of life, Tina poured her heart into the things she loved—her voice soared in song, her hands worked magic in the kitchen, and her artistry shone through every hairstyle and brushstroke of makeup. She brought beauty into the world, not just in what she created, but in the joy she shared while doing it.

Though Tina's earthly journey ended far too soon, her radiant spirit lives on—in the memories we cherish, the stories we pass down, and the love she so generously poured into everyone she touched. Her life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and the quiet power of faith in action. She touched hearts, lifted spirits, and walked through life with dignity, courage, and beauty.

Rest well, sweet Tina. Your song will never fade. Your light will never dim. And your love will live forever in us all.
