Charles
Moody
Aug 1, 1964 — Jan 21, 2025
Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Charles Lee Moody was born August 1, 1964 to Carlean and Clifton Moody in Richmond, VA. He was born and raised in Ashland, VA, and graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1982.
Charles was a devoted member of Shiloh Baptist Church and served on the Ushers' ministry. He had a strong belief and faith in God. Charles prayed with us and for us during family gatherings. He had a lifetime career as an industrial mechanic (welder), spending the last sixteen years working for Vulcan Materials, Inc. in Northern Virginia. Charles was a hard worker who provided and took care of his loved ones. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy's fan and tried never to miss a game. Charles will truly be missed, but always in our thoughts and hearts.
He was proceeded in death by his brother, Ernest "EG" Moody. Charles is survived by his wife, April Timberlake Moody; parents, Carlean and Clifton Moody; sisters, Augusta Tarrer-Reel and Cathy Green; children, Kendra Gilpin-Butler (Devon), LaKishea Green, Antonio "Tony" Smith, Sr., and Ziyah Moody; stepson, Evan Tunstall; grandchildren, Kameron Jones, Journee Graham, Antonio Smith, Jr., and Naomi Tunstall; niece, Stacey Tarrer and a host of cousins and friends. A devoted friend, Horace "Chat" Davis
