Obituary for Chester Lewis, Jr.

Chester “Chuck” Lewis of King George passed away at Mary Washington Hospital on August 4, 2019. Chester was born in King George, Virginia on August 14, 1965. He attended King George County High School.

Chester was a Construction Worker for 20 years. Chester enjoyed participating in hobbies, gardening, carpentry, a jack of all trades. He enjoyed basketball, especially the Spurs. He loved animals, especially his Pitbull, Luna. Chester is survived by his caring Wife, Michelle D. Lewis, one Son, Jamie M. Banks, three Daughters, Jalia, Jasmine and Jayla Minor. His Mother, Josephine Conway Lewis-Brown, Stepfather, Frederick Bernard Brown, one Mother-in-law, Janie M. Pendleton, two Sisters, Virginia Brown, Carolyn Woolfolk, two brothers, Larry Lewis (Celane), and Mark Lewis (Rachael), three Aunts, Annie, Deloris Coleman (John), and Cora Johnson (James), one Uncle, James Lewis.

Four beloved grandchildren, Jaziah, Jhalil, Cashlyn, and Major. One Sister-in-law, Linda Joyner (Michael), two Brother-in-laws, Emmanuel and Emerson Washington, and His beloved best friend, his Pitfull named Luna. Chester was predeceased by his late Father, Chester Lewis Sr., and his Father-in-law, Mitchell Pendleton. He is missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Chuck was such a soft spoken man. From a young boy to a grown man. Chuck was so talented and so eager to help. There wasn't many task that he would not "give it a try". If he did not know how to do it....he just taught himself how to ....carpentry, auto mechanics, ect…. Going to miss running into him, God bless you all, the community will all be missing "Chuck"
