Dea. Henry
Lewis Robertson, Sr.

Henry Lewis Robertson Sr. went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2025. He was born on January 30, 1930 in Louisa County, Virginia to the late Rev. Robert Junius Robertson and the late Lillie Robertson. Henry is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Oliver, Walter and his twin brother Harry.
Henry joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 1938 under the leadership of Rev. E.E. Robinson was baptized by his father, Rev. R. J. Robertson. Henry served the church faithfully in different ministries. He sang with the Men's Chorus and the Senior Choir for over 50 years. Henry was ordained into the Deacon's Ministry and served several years as the Chairman. He joined the Deacon's Conference of Goochland County and vicinity where he served as president for several years. Henry was a member of Louisa Temple Lodge for over 50 years. He was Past Master of Louisa Lodge 113.
Henry attended Louisa County Public Schools. He served in the U.S. Army and was in the Korean War. During his time of service, he received the Korean Service Medal, three Bronze Stars and United Nations Service Medal. He was Honorably Discharged in 1953.
Henry was employed by Richfood Company where he retired after 26 years of service. After retiring from Richfood, he then worked for Louisa County Transportation for 16 years. Henry worked many long and hard hours to support his family but he always found time to spend quality time with them. His favorite things to do were to play with his grandchildren and work in his garden. Henry loved to go see his favorite MLB team (Philadelphia Phillies). He loved all sports. Another favorite pastime was playing his guitar and he enjoyed playing for family and friends.
Henry leaves to cherish his memories: devoted wife, Lillie Mae Robertson; three sons, Henry Jr. (Pamela), Howard (Helena) and Orlando; two daughters Evelyn (Jeff), Gwen (John); 11 grandchildren, Joseph, Antoine, Henry III, Tangelia, Cherrell, Jefferson IV, Amber, Timothy, Lawrence, Tyrone, and Teresa; 23 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Eva Robertson and Carrie Taylor; a devoted niece Constance Robertson; a devoted cousin Morris Nelson; devoted friends Lillian Morris and Della Nelson; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
