Allen Rollins Jr. died peacefully in his sleep on November 13, 2018, Tuesday morning at 1:40 am at Bon Secure Regional Memorial Hospital Mechanicsville, VA. Allen was born December 20, 1941 in Caroline County VA. to the late Mary Ann and Allen Rollins Sr. He was the seventh child out of eleven.
Allen accepted Christ at an early age and joined Second Mount Zion Baptist Church. Allen was a faithful member until his health failed. Allen was devoted Deacon, musician (that played guitar, keyboard). He learned to the play guitar at an early age from his father Allen Sr. Allen was founder and president of the, Donnalier, Men God and Men Chorus for many years. He was a member Men’s Fellowship, Ushers and Hospitality and in Vacation Bible School. He loved outdoor activities hunting (which he was the president of D-6 Hunting Club for many years) and fishing. Allen retired from many things; Atlas Pallets Lorne, VA and Frog Level Fire Department which he served for 25 years (Firefighter, EMT) Rollins Home Improvement, his favorite thing was his store A R Hardware. Allen was known to many people as Dot, Dea, Antenna man, Chico and Peewee.
Allen was educated in the Caroline County School System where he met Geneva Coleman. They were joined in matrimony on June 10, 1961 (57th years) from this union four kids were born Remona Rollins, Angela (Lee) Williams, Allen (Cynthia) Rollins III, Vera (Aaron) Moore and two children he loved as his own Viola Jefferson and Gordon Hart.
He leaves four grandchildren Sierra Moore, Jimmie Lee (Kendra) Bynum, Latashia Moore and Regina Rollins and nine great grandchildren that brought him joy and happiness. He leaves to cherish one sister-in-law Genise (Marcus) Manley, four sister, Irene Morris, Blanche (Leon) Jones, Emily Baylor and Marcie Washington, three deceased sisters, Geraldine & Mearline Morris and Lou Bertha Wright two brother George Rollins, Leroy (Ladell) Rollins and one deceased brother Clarence Rollins. A hosted of loving and devoted nieces and nephews and one devoted caregiver Nikki Holman.Please forgive us if anyone was left out charge it to my head and not my heart.
