Dione Henderson Giles affectionately known as “Donna” was born in Richmond, VA. She is the eldest of two children of Theodore and Leatrice Jackson. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church where she accepted Christ and was baptized on August 31, 1980. She later joined the youth usher board and attended church faithfully until her health began to fail.
Prior to starting her career Donna graduated from Patrick High School in 1990. She became employed with the United States Postal Service where she stayed for 18 years. There Donna had many friends and loved her job as much as her customers loved her. In 2008 she became an entrepreneur with Dione Cleaning Services. She was well-known in the area servicing several businesses throughout Richmond and the surrounding counties.
Donna always had a smile and was a fun person to be around. She exercised the phrase “shop til you drop” because that is what she enjoyed doing, as well as traveling, and the watching the Lifetime channel. Most of all she enjoyed being around family and taking in the sun on her deck.
She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted and love of her life Derrick L. Giles, her best friend and devoted daughter Dionedra Henderson and Jaylin Giles whom she loved as her very own son. Her loving sister Felicia Jackson (Benjamin), Iris Hamm, Christina Gaines, Chelsea Woolfolk and a brother Curtis Paige. Nine aunts, five uncles and one great aunt Hazel Woodson. A host of nieces and nephews and numerous cousins and friends. Among them are Barbara “Nita” Johnson, Carlein White, Kendra Coles and Penelope Washington.
