Eddie Rogers Grady passed away Sunday, September 16th, at Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, VA, at the age of 75.
A gentle, kind, loving husband, father, and grandfather, Eddie is survived by his devoted wife Ruth, foster sister, Minnie Thompson, daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Michael Joyner, son and daughter-in law, Anthony Grady and Melissa McCard, son and daughter-in-law, Darryl and Kristin Grady, grandchildren Michael Joyner, Jr., Loriael Joyner, Darius Grady, Channing Grady, and Karissa Grady, and several in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Born October 6th, 1942, to Edward and Sophia Grady, Eddie grew up in Kinston, North Carolina. After graduating from Adkins High School, Eddie served 4 years in the Air Force, then moved to Washington, DC, where he met his lovely bride Ruth, and worked 36 years for People’s Drug Store/CVS Pharmacy. Eddie was a kind, quiet, gentle, sweet soul with a great sense of humor, and greeted everyone with a smile. His two passions were his family and the Washington Redskins.
