Caroline County
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Geneva C. Rollins, affectionately known as Cookie, who departed this life on October 29, 2025, at Richmond Memorial Bon Secours Hospital in Mechanicsville, VA, at the age of 81.
Born on March 12, 1944, to the late Vivian Coleman and Mayme Coleman, Geneva was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Allen Rollins Jr., whom she met at Dawn School in Caroline County, VA, and married on June 10, 1961. Together, they raised three children: Angela Williams (Lee), Allen Rollins III (Cynthia), and Vera Moore (Aaron). She was also preceded in death by her daughter Remona Rollins.
Geneva was the last surviving sibling of five, joining her late brothers and sisters, Leon Coleman (Audrey), Owen Coleman, Whilmena Coleman, and Pearline Coleman. She leaves behind her cherished sister, Genise Waller.
Geneva was a loving grandmother to Sierra Moore, Latashia Moore, Jimmie Lee Bynum (Kendra), and Regina Rollins (Taylor), and a proud great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren.
Geneva's life was a testament to her devotion to family, her strong work ethic, and her sense of community. She was a true "jack of all trades," always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She will be remembered for her warm heart, infectious smile, and deep love for her family and friends.
She is also survived by her devoted niece, Viola Jefferson, and special friends Gracie Jackson(devoted friend), Pearl Thomas, Allison Goodall, and Marvin Anderson. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and many other friends who will forever cherish her memory.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported them during this time of loss. Geneva's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be truly missed.
Rest in peace, Geneva. Your love, strength, and kindness will never be forgotten.
