Geraldine L. Bell affectionately known as "Gerry" was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 18,2025 in Richmond, Virginia surrounded by her her loved ones.

Gerry was born September 6, 1952, in Hanover, Virginia to the late Cora Grimes and Joseph Derricott. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Terry L. Fleming, four brothers James H. Grimes, Leon W. Grimes, two sisters Ada A. Blackwell and Maxine Wright and a dear and devoted friend Alvin Winston.

Gerry attended Hanover County public schools. At the early age of 18 she married Douglass Bell. Gerry was loved and will be truly missed by many. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend. She loved bingo, cooking, playing cards, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Gerry leaves to cherish her loving memory a devoted daughter Josette Bell, her grandchildren Dedric Fleming (Latrice Payne), Deitra Fleming, Sayquan Townsend, Steven Townsend, Jayveuan Beaty, Thomas Beaty, Taneya Beaty and her great-grand children Chaun'cere Simpson, Jer'Kari Evan's, Zaelyn Fleming, Dre'Loni Beaty. Her sisters Margret "Cora" Grimes and Greta "Aretha" Grimes and a host of cherished relatives and friends
