Henry
Waller
Feb 22, 1947 — Jan 14, 2025
Henry Alfounzer Waller Sr., also known by many as "Fornie", departed this life January 14, 2025 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 22, 1947 to the late George H. and Alice A. Waller. He attended schools in Hanover County. Henry joined Union Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful member until his health began to decline.
Henry was employed with Alexander Construction Company for 26 years as a foreman. He later on became self-employed as a contractor. His fingerprint can be seen all over the City of Richmond and surrounding counties both residentially and commercially. Henry was loved by many and had a heart of gold. He would give anyone the shirt off of his back and he helped so many. Some of his favorite past times were hunting, playing baseball, killing hogs, gardening, watching sports, and singing. His favorite hymn was "Keep My Heart."
Henry was preceded in death by his parents: George and Alice Waller; one brother, Odell Waller; three sisters: Evelyn Johnson, Edna Williams, and Francella Daniel; one brother-in-law: Wallace Stephen.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Andre Waller of Richmond, VA and Henry Waller Jr. (Nile) of Glen Allen, VA; four daughters: Maritta Thornton of Richmond, VA, Arlene Waller of Chesterfield, VA, Colleen Waller of Richmond, VA, and Charmaine Surgeon (Burch) of Prince George, VA; one brother: George Waller Jr. (Linda) of Richmond, VA; four sisters: Dorothy Waller of Washington, DC, Mamie Stephen of Glenarden, MD, Marilyn Waller of Capitol Heights, MD, and Teresa Waller of Fredericksburg, VA; one brother-in-law: Tommy Daniel of New York; and four devoted friends: Louis De Salle IV., Warren Walters, Michael Short, and Jack Pinter.
He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of grandchildren, two devoted (Mikayla and Bryce); great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
