Jean Singer was born on March 16, 1955, to the Late Louis Gardner and Octavia Gardner.  She departed this life suddenly on June 16, 2026 in her home in Caroline County Virginia.

She was a faithful fulltime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Beaverdam Virginia where she served faithfully and was a dedicated member of the Missionary Ministry.

She was married to the late James Singer for 28 years.  Jean was employed with the Pitney Bowes company in Ashland Virginia for 19 years and was still currently working there at the time of her death.

To know Jean was to know a very special person from her conversations to her sweet personality or just jumping up and dancing.  She was always the life of the party and could brighten up any room.

She is survived by a loving and devoted daughter Tiaria  Thornton, son-in-law Carlos Thornton, 3 beautiful Grandchildren Ta'Shae Smith (deceased), Carlos Thornton Jr. and Lolah Thornton, 2 sisters, Hylah Gardner and Brenda Booker, special brother in-law Floyd Booker Jr.

She also leaves to cherish 3 devoted friends, Mary Taylor, Delores Bertrand and Shirly Clarke AND let's not forget all her many Facebook friends.
