Julien L.
Simms
Aug 22, 1956 — Sep 2, 2026
Julien L Simms; Son, Grandson, Nephew, Brother, Husband, Uncle, Cousin, Soldier, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Provider, Protector, and Friend.
Julien "Frankie" Simms lived a life defined by love, strength, sacrifice, loyalty, and service. He was many things to many people, but above all, he was someone who showed up for those he loved.
For more than 53 years, Frankie shared a beautiful journey with his beloved companion, Dott. Their years together were filled with love, memories, family, challenges, laughter, and a bond that stood the test of time. Fifty-three years is more than a number—it is a lifetime of shared experiences and a love story that became part of the foundation of their family.
Frankie was a devoted father to his children, Julien, Sherica, Rodney, and Tonya. And his step son Mark. His love for his children was woven into everything he did. He was their provider, protector, teacher, supporter, and father. His legacy will live on through them and through the generations that follow:
As a soldier, he understood duty.
As a companion and husband, he understood commitment.
As a father, he understood responsibility and love.
As a grandfather and great-grandfather, he knew the joy and blessing of family.
As a provider and protector, he carried his responsibilities with strength and determination.
And as a friend, he gave memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
And then there was Frankie and his Dallas Cowboys! His love for the Cowboys was unmistakable. Whether cheering them on, talking about the team, or simply showing his Cowboys pride, it was a part of who he was. We can only imagine him now with the best seat in the house, watching from Heaven and still cheering for his beloved Cowboys!
Today, we honor his life—not simply mourn his passing. We thank God for the years, the memories, the lessons, the laughter, the love he shared, and the family he helped build.
Frankie, your earthly assignment is complete.
Well, done, good and faithful servant. You fought your fight. You ran your race. You made your mark. You loved your family. You served your country. You protected those entrusted to you.
Now may you rest from the cares of this world and find eternal peace in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
Your presence will be deeply missed, but your legacy will continue through Dott, Julien, Sherica, Rodney, Tonya, your grandchildren, your great-grandchildren, your family, and everyone whose life you touched.
Frankie, you may be gone from our sight, but the love you gave and the memories you created will never leave us.
Rest in heavenly peace, Julien "Frankie" Simms. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
Until we meet again.
