Obituary for Lois Boxley

Lois Mae Boxley was born on November 5, 1932, to the late Rufus and Francis Culley, in Stafford, Virginia. She entered into a peaceful rest on December 26, 2018. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Elder L. Boxley, to that union eight children were born. Lois dedicated her life to taking care of her family, friends, and anyone else that needed her help. She found joy in helping others. Lois enjoyed cooking, baking, going shopping, out to eat and spending time with her family. On holidays you could her find in the kitchen making chocolate cakes, apple and sweet potato pies for everybody. Her home was always open to everyone who needed a plate of food or a place to sleep.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sons: Warren, Robert, William, and Richard Boxley, granddaughter: Valerie Boxley, two sisters; Jean Boxley, and Gerldine Brown. Lois leaves to cherish her loving memories to: her daughter, Barbara (Ralph) of Woodbridge; three sons, Vivian (Darlene) Boxley of Spotsylvania, Clarence Boxley of Stafford and David Boxley of Spotsylvania; six grandchildren, a devoted great grandson whom she raised Mario Boxley and seven more great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law ; Ester Strother, of Stafford, Lorrine Alsop, of Stafford and Wilmae White, of Fredericksburg; one brother-in-law; Leonard Boxley, of Fredericksburg and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.

Condolences

Sorry for your loss. To lose a loved one is hard. Many have found comfort in the promises at John 5:25 and Acts 24:15. The God given hope of being able to see your loved one again. May these promises bring you comfort. May you also find comfort in your many fond memories.
- R. Cole
Aunt Lois, I will always remember you for the cakes you baked, especially the huge coconut cake you made one year for my birthday. You will be missed but I know mama was there in heaven waiting for you with open arms. Love, Liz
