Lucille D. Chamberlain (Lulu), daughter of the late Mattie Wingfield Mills
and Willie Norman Mills was born April 19, 1951. Lulu peacefully departed
this life on Monday, October 14, 2019 after a long courageous battle with
cancer at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. Lulu was proceeded in
death by her husband Jeffrey Leon Chamberlain; one granddaughter, one
great grandson, three brothers and three sisters. Lulu was a women of
unconditional love who worked hard her entire life and was always willing to
help anyone in need. Lulu was deeply loved by anyone who had the pleasure
of knowing her.

Lulu attended school in Balty, VA. She accepted Christ and joined St. Johns
Baptist Church in Milford, VA at an early age. She later moved to
Fredericksburg, VA. Although, she never joined a specific church once
moving to Fredericksburg, she enjoyed visiting various churches over the
years when her schedule would allow it. Lulu was very passionate about
family, friends and beloved co-workers from her employer The
Fredericksburg Country Club, which she dedicated thirty-three years of
employment.

Lulu enjoyed working sometimes, even working two jobs to provide for the
family. She loved going to the casino, eating at Golden Corral, playing candy
crush and watching her favorite wrestling. Lulu always kept an optimistic
attitude about anything thrown at her, she was always so strong and put her
pain aside to take care of everyone else… especially her grandchildren. Lulu

Lucille was one of my favorite customers at Walmart. She was always smiling and updating me on her Vance treatments. She always said she was going to beat cancer. A couple of days before she went into the hospital she was so happy. She told me she only had 2 more treatments left. She told me cancer thought it was going to beat me but I’m going to beat cancer and she was happy! She fought a good fight! I’m going to miss seeing her! My thoughts and prayers are with the family! Love you Ms Lucille always and forever!
