Margaret Singleton passed away at VCU Health Systems surrounded by her family on Friday, November 15, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Singleton; parents, Elsie and Robert Fleming, Sr.
Margaret Hill Singleton was born January 11, 1957 to the late Elsie and Robert Fleming, Sr. in Hanover, VA.
She was educated in Hanover County Public Schools and Richmond Public Schools.
She was employed as a nurse aide up until her death.
Margaret accepted Christ at an early age and joined Community Church of God and Christ under the leadership of Dr. David Wright. She served as a member of the Choir, Usher, Hospitality Ministry, and was an aspiring Missionary. She loved her church and her church family.
Margaret loved spending time with her entire family. She was the life of the party and was a joy to be around. To know Margaret was to love her. She enjoyed planning family events, shopping, traveling, reading and cooking for family and friends. She was always willing to help in any situation, and she will truly be missed by all.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two devoted sons, Christopher Fleming, and Rodney Singleton; one grandson Christopher Patillo; four granddaughters, Kaniyah Singleton, Azariah Fleming, Riley, Charlie, and Zoey Turner; one great grandson, Zi’Yon Smith; five brothers, Robert (Nadine), Roger, Michael (Martina) from Germany, Anthony, Sr. (Angela), and Lamont Fleming from Louisville, Kentucky; three sisters, Yolanda, Michelle Fleming, and Daphne Corbin (Timothy, Sr); two uncles David Fleming and George Hill (Joyce); three aunts Mary Fleming and Betty Culpepper, one devoted, Florine Thompson. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
