Tribute To ....
McArthur Chamberlain, Jr
. "Baby Face" "Big Timer Mac" entered into eternal peace, on the early morning of Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025, at his home in Caroline County, VA. Mac was born on May 10th, 1971, to his wonderful parents McArthur, Sr. and Dorine Chamberlain. He was united in holy matrimony to Carrie L. Chamberlain on May 22, 2004. He had one daughter Erika Chamberlain (Mother Darlene Chamberlain), grandson Aloha Pankey, and their fur baby Mopar Chamberlain who preceded him in death on January 29th, 2025. He was also proceeded in death by his grandparents Albert & Vernell Chapman, Charles & Edith Chamberlain, & mother-in-law Bertha I. Fortune.
Mac graduated from West Point High school in 1989. He was a truck driver for many years with different companies until his health began to decline. Mac was a very talented man and could figure out anything when it came to technology and he loved a challenge. At an early age, he became a member at Wayland Baptist Church. Mac played for his family group Brothers & Sisters of Faith. He became a dedicated member of Second Mount Zion Baptist Church, Hanover, Va. where he enjoyed working with the audio and visual department & playing the bass guitar for the Men's choir. That was his pride and joy, and he enjoyed everything he could do for his church. Mac loved his church and definitely his Pastor, Marvin Fields. He looked forward to his Pastor calling him and they joked with each other every day. Mac also shared his musical gift with St. Stephen's Baptist Church, Central Point, Va. and Mangohick Baptist Church, King William, Va. \n\nMac was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Mac was known as a man of many words and was the go-to man if you needed to know something, because he was definitely a man that wanted to figure it out. "Challenge" should have been his middle name. During all of his health problems he never gave up. Mac was someone that was an encouragement to others and encouraged.
Mac leaves behind his loving wife Carrie L. Chamberlain of 21 years, One daughter Erika Chamberlain, Grandson Aloha Panky, Parents McArthur & Dorine Chamberlain, Brother Terry Chamberlain(Chakakhan), Brother-in-law George Fortune (Sarah), Nieces Destiny Chamberlain, Olivia Chamberlain(Also his Goddaughter), Summer Chamberlain, Kinsley Fortune and one nephew Asher Fortune, one great nephew, Jakobi Sutton, Godsons Lionel Robinson, Jr. and Sabian Rollins, Goddaughter Shyenne Brewster, Godmother Christine Wactor, Uncles Eddie Chamberlain(Brenda) and Charles Chamberlain, Aunts Mary Chamberlain, Julia Lumpkin (Arvid), Linda Jones (Robert), Queen Chapman, Rosia Williams, Willa Robinson (Lionel), Clementine Chapman (Kenneth), and a very special aunt Renee E. Rogers, who in 2005 gave him one of her kidney's. Mac & Renee had a relationship like no other. We feel like they were just alike, and Renee says his mother had him but that was her son. He is also survived by his Great Aunts, Josephine Braxton, Alma Chamberlain, Geraldine Gaines, Susie Holmes, Lucinda Freeman, Edna Little and Luberta Hudson. Great Uncles, Freddie Muse & Ganzelle Muse. Mac has a host of family and friends, but his special friends were James (Jimmy) Young, Isaac Gonzalez, Gene Cordew, Stanley Athey, Kenneth Harris, Tina Rogers, Raymond Quash & Marvin Anderson. And let's not forget his personal chefs, Arthur & Sandra Stevens.
"Even as he faced his own health struggles, he showed unwavering faith and strength. He never allowed his challenges to dim his spirit but instead used them as an opportunity to encourage and uplift those around him. His words of kindness, his steady presence, and his ability to bring comfort to others will be remembered as a true statement to his character."
