Michael Lewis Coles, entered into eternal peace on April 2, 2026. He was born on April 20, 1962 in Richmond, VA to Melvin Coles and the late Amanda L. Taylor Coles. He is preceded in death by his son, "Marland" Lorenzo Coles Wheeler; grandson, Xavion Hazzard; brother, Melvin "Meaty" Coles; grandparents, Arthur and Nannie Smith Taylor and Alexander and Virginia Pauline Waller; six uncles and two aunts.

Known by many as the "Virginia Squirrel" wall to wall treetop tall, Michael graduated from Louisa County High School in 1981. After graduating, he served in the United States Army as a Motor Transport Operator. He was very proud of his service and loved talking about his time in Germany. Michael was a devoted New York Giants fan always donning the red, white, and blue and also camouflage.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Jennifer Johnson; son, Michael Hazzard; bonus children, Brandy "Nikki" Crawford, Daijah and D'Montre Johnson; grandchildren, Prince, Elijah, Ni'Keijah, Le'Bran, Diamond, Kodi; brothers, Warren Coles and Jamie Waller; aunts, Lillie Waller, Adell(Micklos) Fisher, Pauline(David) Graves, Justine Waller, and Gladys Taylor; uncle, Arthur "Joe" Taylor; girlfriend, Alicia Athey; special friend, Carol "Chucky" Crawford; devoted friend, Steve Henson; and a host of devoted cousins, other relatives and friends.
