Monica N.
Miller
Jun 11, 1969 — Aug 7, 2025
Richmond
Monica Nadine Miller, daughter of the late Wilson C. Miller, Jr. and Rosa B. Miller, was born on June 11, 1969, in Richmond, Virginia. She peacefully transitioned from this life surrounded by love.
Monica was educated in Henrico County Public Schools and graduated from Hermitage High School. She was baptized at an early age at Abner Baptist Church and later became a devoted member of St. Peter Baptist Church.
An accomplished and highly sought-after nail technician, Monica's creativity and skill brought joy to her many loyal clients. Her vibrant spirit shone in everything she did. She had an undeniable love for driving—especially fast—and could not wait to get her driver's license. Monica also cherished fishing trips with her father and was known for her exceptional cooking, with her jerk chicken being a family favorite.
If you were looking for someone to join you for a scary movie, Monica was your girl. Her sense of adventure and fun was matched only by her strong will and determination—traits evident from her childhood, whether playing on her mother's dresser despite being told not to, or facing life's challenges head-on.
Monica was fiercely protective of her family and friends, but nothing compared to the love and devotion she had for her two daughters, Olivia and Semaj. They were her pride, joy, and life's greatest treasures.
Monica's legacy will forever be remembered through the warmth she shared, the determination she embodied, and the fierce love she gave without measure.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved daughters, Olivia and Semaj; mother, Rosa Miller, brother Derrick Miller, aunts and uncles, Annette Harris (Howard), Brenda Coleman, Theresa Brooks, Shelly Dunaway (Greg), William "Buck" Brooks (Kimberly), Willie Miller, Sr. (Bessie), Dorothy Cash, and Earline Coleman, a host of cousins, extended family, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched with her love, laughter, and strength.
The Miller family would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the comforting messages, prayers, gifts and all acts of kindness during our time of bereavement.
