Patricia (Pat) Ann Jacobs-Thurston was born to the late Helen Hawkins and William Offurt on February 18, 1941. She was one of three daughters born to Helen Hawkins; Maggie Jacobs (deceased) and Johnie Mae Jacobs (deceased). She was married to Archie Thurston (deceased). She departed this life on March 10, 2025 in Washington, DC.

Pat was educated in the Washington, D.C. public school system and was employed as a Nurse's Aide until 2020.

Some of her favorite past times included watching football and game shows on TV, spending time at Malcolm X (Meridian Hill) Park watching the babies and pets go by.

Pat was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, Washington DC for twenty-six years.  At Canaan she was a member of the New Members' Ministry, St. John Gospel Family and supported Canaan's 65th Anniversary efforts.

Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Hawkins and father, William Offurt, two sisters, Maggie (Mickey) Jacobs and Johnny Mae (Delis) Jacobs; husband, Archie Thurston; nephews, Don Flood and Jonathan Reed. She leaves to mourn her daughter, Brenda Renia Harper (Ronald T. Harper-deceased); Grandsons, Khyree and Lamar Harper; Great-grandchildren, Khyree Ronte Pettis-Harper, Kaiya Harper, Komali Harper and Faith Johnson; Nieces, Doretha Daniels, Cathy Daniels (Thomas Jenkins), Lynda Fuller, Anita White (Chris White), Catherine Smith, O'Linda Fuller; Nephews, Gary Daniels and Vincent Reed, a host of great nieces and nephews and other family and friends, too numerous to name but were special in so many ways.
