Ms. Robnet Eunice King Huff of Beaverdam, Virginia entered into eternal rest at her home on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Robnet was born to the late Thomas DeBorous, Sr. and the late Inez King. She was raised by her mother the late Inez King and the late George King. She was born in the old blue house that use to be next to the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Beaverdam.
She was baptized in the baptizing pool on Rt. 54 about 1/2 mile on the left and became an official member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church where she has been active until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Gibson Huff, her daughter the late Arneita Morris (Archie) and five siblings, the late Lula Winston, Kate DeBorous, Thomas DeBorous, Jr., Marian “Happy” DeBorous and John DeBorous.
Robnet attended the one room school house (Ebenezer School) that was located on the Church’s current property. She was employed as a Domestic Worker for forty plus years and was also the Avon Representative for fifty plus years to the entire community.
Robnet drove until she was ninety-nine years old and drove accident free for eighty plus years. The first time she was ever hospitalized was with her recent illness a few weeks ago.
Robnet was the mother and grandmother of the Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was loved unconditionally. For over eighty plus years. She served on the EBC Sanctuary Choir (now Unified Voices) and served on the Usher’s ministry, taught and attended Sunday School. She was an active member of the Missionary Circle, Pastors’ Aid and Board of Christian Education Ministry. She also served as the past church clerk and pianist and music teacher for Ebenezer and other churches in the community. She was affectionately known as “Mom Rob, Aunt Rob, Ms. Rob, Ms. Huff and Robnet”. But, Gransy and Gonga were special names given to her by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved music and taught and instilled this talent in her entire family.
Robnet touched so many lives during her one hundred and four in a half (104 1/2) years of life. She loved her church, her pastor and his wife, Rev and Mrs. Kinney, her family and her beloved dog “Magic”. She read her bible and prayed daily. She lived her life as Godly as she could.
She is survived by her devoted grandchildren Archie, Wayne Morris, Sr. (Helen), Valerie Derricott (Kevin), Donald Morris (Theresa), Rico Morris (Kim), Yancey Morris (Shantel) and Wendy Morris Anderson (Craig), but the most devoted was her oldest grandson and his family who were her primary caregivers until the end; Archie Wayne, Helen and AJ. She had nineteen great great grandchildren, nine great great great grandchildren, one foster son, Linwood Greene (Faye), three God children, Rev. Cheryl Hall, Angela Adair and Mr. Jerome (Jeff) King; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Devoted, Quentina Kinney, Dorothy (Betty) Anderson (her personal chauffeur) and Donna Graves.
