Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Shaun C. Stith, who departed this life on May 29, 2026, at the age of 22.

Shaun was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend whose presence left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though only 22 years old, he lived a life filled with meaningful relationships, laughter, and memories that will forever be treasured by those who loved him.

At an early age, Shaun joined Mount Olive Baptist Church, where he faithfully participated as a member of the Usher Board and the Daycare Ministry. His church family played an important role in his upbringing, and his early years of service reflected the caring and compassionate spirit he carried throughout his life.

As a young adult, Shaun demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence through his employment with Amazon, where he served as a Process Guide/Process Assistant. In this role, he earned the respect of his colleagues through his dedication, leadership, and willingness to support others. He took pride in his work and embraced opportunities to grow professionally while helping contribute to the success of his team.

Shaun was known for his sarcastic sense of humor, delivered in a way that could make people laugh without ever making them feel small. He had a unique ability to bring levity into everyday situations and was never afraid to speak his mind. One of his most endearing qualities was his tendency to "parent" his parents, often offering advice, reminders, and opinions as though the roles had somehow been reversed. It was a trait that brought both laughter and love to those closest to him.

Above all, Shaun valued the people in his life. He was surrounded by family, friends, and a community that cared deeply for him. He leaves behind countless memories that will continue to be shared through stories, laughter, and the love of those who knew him best.

Shaun is survived by his loving parents, Brian C. Stith and Jennifer R. Stith; his sister, Auana Stith; grandmothers, Emma Stith and Eva Robertson; uncles and aunts, Jonathan Robertson (Frances), Martin Stith (Alicia), Jeff Stith, and Patricia Stith; his niece and nephew, Anela Stith and Izeo Stith. He is also survived by a host of cousins and friends who became family.

Shaun shared a particularly special bond with Wanda Hill-Warren and Kesha Pencle, who loved and supported him throughout his life. He also shared a close relationship with Naila and Naomi Pencle, who grew up alongside him and were more like cousins than friends.

The Stith family would also like to acknowledge and thank Sisters for the Journey (SFTJ), a cherished circle of sister-friends whose love, encouragement, and presence helped form the village that surrounded Shaun throughout his life. Their unwavering support and care have been a blessing to both Shaun and his family.

While our hearts are broken by his loss, we are grateful for every moment, every laugh, every conversation, and every memory. Though his time with us was far too short, Shaun's life touched many people, and his legacy of love, humor, faith, and family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

His memory will forever be cherished and his presence forever missed.
