Sy'lasia Ne'cole Jones, age 17, of Orange, Virginia, passed away tragically on August 6, 2026, following an automobile accident.

Born on November 24, 2008, at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Sy'lasia was the beloved daughter of Silas Jones, Jr., and Nichole Beasley. A recent graduate of Penn Foster High School, she was admired by classmates and teachers for her speed on the track. This fall, she planned to continue her education at Piedmont Community College in Charlottesville, VA.

Sy'lasia's family remembers her as vibrant, full of life, and happiest when surrounded by loved ones. She brought laughter wherever she went with her quick wit, ready jokes, and joyful spirit. Affectionately known as "LaLa," she also had a protective heart and was always ready to stand up for her mother, proudly serving as her personal bodyguard.

Though taken far too soon, LaLa now rests in the arms of our Lord and Savior. She was baptized on July 5, 2026, at Union Baptist Church, where she courageously asked the pastor to baptize her.

Her faith, courage, and radiant spirit will shine forever in the hearts of all who loved her.

LaLa was preceded in death by her Great Grandfather, Charles Ruffner and Great Grandmother Gertrude Ruffner; Great Grandmother Delores Beasley; Grandfather Silas W. Jones Sr, and Aunt Sileshia Jones. LaLa is survived by her parents, Nichole Beasley, Silas Jones Jr. (June); brothers, Silas Jones III, and Javian Jones; sisters, Zydrayha Jackson, Akyra Jones (Timmy), and Sariyah Jones; Grandmothers, Cynthia Jones and Deborah Beasley; Grandfather, Alfred Ruffner; Aunts Michelle Robinson and Cindy Hunter (Elton); Nephew Knox Richards and a host of family and friends.
