Obituary for Timothy G. Edd-Lewis

Timothy G. Edd-Lewis departed this life on October 5, 2018. Timothy or T.C. as he was affectionately known, was born on December 5, 1981 to his military parents Timothy C. Lewis and Ginger Ed in Dallas, Texas. During his childhood they moved to Virginia where they made their home in Richmond, Va.

T.C. started his education at Spotsylvania Elementary School and completed his education in Richmond where they resided. He joined the Pilgrim Journey Baptist Church in Richmond and was baptized at age twelve.

After graduating from Hermitage High School, he joined the United States Air Force and served his country for four years. Continuing his education he graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington in Dallas, Texas where he received his Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. While living in Richmond he was employed with Fed Ex and later with FEMA and the Army Corp. of Engineers while working the relief efforts of hurricane Katrina. He returned to Dallas and worked with Uber until his passing.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Ginger Edd of Dallas, Texas and Timothy Lewis of Spotsylvania, Va; one brother, Donavan T. Edd; one nephew, Daviyon T. Edd; grandmother Beatrice Lewis of Spotsylvania, Va; three uncles; four aunts and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. You could always find T.C. on Facebook and Snap Chat kicking it, as he would say, with his four devoted cousins, Roger Tyler, Mallory Woodson, Megan and Candace Foxx.

He is preceded in death by his fraternal grandfather, John C. Lewis of Spotsylvania, Va.

I met TC here in Dallas at Youfit gym. We always talked about life, working out, sports and getting together to hang out. In September of 2018 he helped me move into my new place and I wish I would of knew more maybe I could have helped. Nothing indicated to me you were hurting like that. Always had a smile on and was a great person. I only wish we got to hang out some. As a veteran myself it hits home hard because so many of us are out here hurting and we're suppose to take care of each other. TC I will always remember you as a strong person and I pray that you're at peace and know you're greatly missed. Until we meet again my brother, until we meet again.

I\\'m sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. When someone we love dies, it’s natural to want to see that person again. Many have found comfort in the Bible’s promise of a resurrection. Notice what John 5:28, 29 says, \\"Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.\\"

God gives us such a meaningful hope to look forward to. And in the meantime he also promises us to comfort us in our trials if we go to him in prayer. 2 Cor 1:3 calls him the God of all comfort. I hope this was comforting to y\\'all. Please go to for more information. Have a nice day.

Tim, I am sad to see you go. You will be remembered forever in my heart. I wish I could have helped. Thank you for the unconditional love you showed me from day 1 and pushing me in times I would have given up. Seems like just yesterday I spoke with you without knowing it was our last talk. I pray you rest easy. I love you always. Tamara M.

TC, as I knew him, was one of my best friends dating back to our time in Okinawa, Japan over 15yrs ago. No matter what I have been through since, he has always encouraged me to be strong and keep pushing. His charisma and intellect always stood out. It is an honor to consider him my brother.
He will forever be missed!
