Vera B. Winston entered into eternal rest on February 23, 2025, at the Parham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, VA. Vera was born in Louisa, Virginia on April 2, 1959, to the late Thomas Walter Wattie and Lorine Vera Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Reginald Winston, brothers Orlando M. Jackson, and Kenneth P. Jackson, sister Jacqueline R. Johnson and nephew Brandon Henderson.
Vera joined Mt. Olivet Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Charles H. Sims. Although she did not regularly attend, she loved the Lord.

She loved going to Friendly Oaks Center in Mineral, VA where she met and made friends. They did things as a family like going to Wal-Mart or having lunch at Wood Grill until her illness.
Vera was a faithful and loving wife to her late husband Reginald Winston for 36 years. She leaves to cherish her memories: stepdaughter Sherisa Winston, 5 devoted brothers, and 4 sisters: Vernon (Patrice), Lawrence (Loretta), Walter (Rita), Ronald (Desiree), Aubrey (Tina), Brenda (Loewy), Vivian (Roderick), Alfreda (Daryl), and Belinda (Karen). Sisters-in-law- Sherrie Winston, Joan Gaston and Sheila Jackson, and brothers-in-law - Roderick Winston and Antonio Johnson.
A host of nephews and nieces whom she loved very dearly, she knew them all by name and remembered their birthdays. Vera has a host of cousins as well.
Special thanks to Ms. Beverly Coles and Ms. Desiree Nelson and her children, Daija, Donovan, and Dustin whom she loved and adored. Caregiver Rita Henderson, friend Lakesha Winston, Parham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, At Home Care & Hospice, Friendly Oaks, and the Mt. Olivet Church Family.
