Virginia
Mason
Mar 2, 1963 — Nov 27, 2025
Ashland
We gather with heavy hearts, but also with deep gratitude, to honor the life of Virginia Mason, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. At 62 years old, Virginia touched more lives than she ever realized. We come together not only to mourn her passing, but to celebrate the beautiful, generous, and joyful spirit she shared with each of us.
Virginia was, above all, a loving mother and grandmother. Her three children and fourteen grandchildren were the pride of her life. She poured herself into them—her time, her energy, her laughter, her wisdom, and her unconditional love. If you knew Virginia even briefly, you knew her family was her heart.
She had a way of caring for people that made you feel seen, safe, and valued. Virginia was the kind of person you could talk to about anything—and everything. She listened without judgment; she encouraged her without pressure, and she loved without limits. Whether you were family, a friend, or someone who simply crossed her path, she had a gift for making you feel welcomed and embraced.
Virginia was also someone who knew how to enjoy life. She loved football, always ready to cheer on her team. She loved music, letting it fill her home and her heart. And she loved her soap operas, never missing an episode if she could help it. These simple joys brought her comfort and fun, and they were part of the rhythm of her everyday life.
But one of the things we'll remember most is her laugh—that bright, infectious laugh that could light up a room. When Virginia laughed, you couldn't help but laugh with her. It was a sound full of life, warmth, and joy, a reflection of the beautiful soul she carried inside.
Although we grieved today, we also gave thanks. We give thanks for her kindness, her compassion, her strength, and her presence in our lives. We give thanks for the love she gave so freely. And we give thanks that her legacy lives on in her children, in her grandchildren, and in every heart she touched.
As we remember Virginia, may we honor her by loving others the way she did—fully, openly, and generously. May we carry her laughter with us. May we live with the same kindness and strength she showed throughout her life.
