Walter Edward Trice Jr, affectionately known as " Jake" peacefully entered into eternal peace on Saturday December 27, 2025 at Henrico Doctor's Hospital in Henrico Va

Jake was a native of Louisa County where he attended Mt. Garland Elementary and
A.G. Richardson High School. He joined St. Thomas Baptist Church at an early age.

He was born to the late Walter Edward Trice Sr, and Sarah S. Trice on January 8,1948. He was preceded in death by, sisters Mary Anderson, Doris Mason and Eva Lee Coles. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Dawn Barley of Richmond , Va, two grand-daughters, Kendra Johonson and Kiaria Johnson of Richmond Va, one grand-son Darryl Johnson Jr of Richmond Va ,three sisters , Joyce Lanier, Pleasantville, NJ, Sarah Mallory and Min. Gloria Coles (Dempsey) of Bumpass, VA, one devoted niece, Karen Mallory of Richmond, Va and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was an avid walker. He didn't need a car. He wal would walk for miles until he became ill. After he became ill, he had two passions in life. Watching westerns and food. He was addicted to westerns, especially Gunsmoke and Rifleman. He would watch them all night and be drowsy all the next day but still trying to watching his westerns.
Snacks was his very best friend. He loved sodas, chocolate snacks , candy, especially Reses Cups and strawberry and chocolate ice cream and his very best buddy, Fig Newtons. As soon as we walked into his room that would be the first thing he would ask for, a snack.

He would always joke with his nephews and nieces saying " I'm your Uncle Jake, the only uncle on your momma's side' then make a silly gesture with his hand .

Jake was well known and will be truly missed
